Places You Must Visit on Yucatan Peninsula

A good portion of people see Mexico on vacation, and tons of them go to the Yucatan Peninsula instead of realizing the importance of Yucatan because to them it is simply a shoreline in a place called Cancun, Tulum, or other areas of the Riviera Maya. You can also visit Valladolid on Yucatan to find the other great view.

Riviera Maya

Blue Sea There is so much more to the Yucatan Peninsula than beaches, coral reefs, and blue seas, but you have to know it’s there and take action to see it. It is hard to believe that there is anyone who has visited Mexico who has not heard of the Mayan civilization. That being said, in my profession as a physician, I meet hundreds of people every day, and recently four people who have been to the Yucatan never bothered to visit the sacred sites didn’t know them at all. You will discover, in my opinion, three choices you can make when visiting the Yucatan Peninsula on your vacation.

The first is to pay a visit to the Riviera Maya and sit in a five-star resort, and the choice is personal. Then stay there for a couple of weeks, soak up the sun, sea, and sand, and return home. It could be an incredible experience, if a bit grueling, with long car rides, but I would come back more enriched by the experience, with lots of photoshoots and great memories. The next course variation is a mix of the other two. One week at a resort, but maybe not in Tulum or Cancun because there are other less commercialized places in the Riviera Maya.

Cancun Area

Waterfall Each of these popular sites is observed by several tours out of Cancun and exceptionally recommended by travel and tourism experts. Although it is sometimes difficult to find these felines, many tourists have photographed these impressive creatures in the region’s nature reserves. Coatimundi and Kinkajou – Two of the most unique miniature mammals in the region, a chance encounter with one of these strange creatures is a cure.

Of all the mammals native to Yucatan, nearly 25% of these species spend their lives underwater. The warm, calm waters off the coast of Cancun have attracted scores of whales and dolphins like nowhere else in the world.
